Willie Edward Lockett III a proud Veteran of the Army passed away November 11, 2024. He was the son of Willie Lockett Jr. and Edwina Thompson.

Willie was born September 24, 1949, he grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas and he attended Booker T Washington High School. At the age of 18 years old he enlisted in the army. He attained the rank of a Specialist and as part of this service he received a Vietnam Campaign, National Defense, and Vietnam Service medals.

He is preceded in death by parents, Willie Lockett Jr and Edwina Thompson.

He is survived by wife, Henrietta Lockett; brothers, Jamie (Josie) Lockett, Tony Lockett, and Wayne Lockett; daughter, Avian (Timothy) Melton; son, Russell Lockett; step daughters, Sheila Gonzalez, Teel Nixon, and Cynthia Mason; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

He leaves this world as a loving, well respected man with a big heart and always with a smile.
