alter (Butch) Edward Preciphs II was born December 4, 1957 in Wichita Falls, TX to Walter E. Preciphs and Olivia Preciphs Roberson. He was the 3rd son of Olivia Preciphs Robertson.Walter transitioned to his life with the Lord March 14, 2023.

At an early age he accepted Christ and was baptised at Antioch Baptist Church, Wichita Falls, TX by Rev. Merrick. His Church tenure included, Minister Assistant, Assistant Superintendent of Sunday School, Antioch Baptist Church Drummer and Instructor, Sunday School Secretary, Male Chorus, Brotherhood Secretary, BTU, and Meals on Wheels.

Walter attended school in Wichita Falls and Cleveland, Ohio. He began middle school in London England, returning back to Wichita Falls, he graduated from Hirschi High School, with a ROTC Scholarship. He also played in the band. He was accepted at Midwestern State University, Wichita Falls, TX. He played in the band and participated in theater at MSU. He had a love of playing the drums. Walter graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree from MSU.

He worked at the Wichita Country Club while attending college at Midwestern State University. He also worked for El Chico Restaurant as a waiter. His gift was taking orders without writing them down with the orders correct and complete no matter the size of the table or number of people. He worked as a substitute teacher for the WFISD for many years until he retired from working completely.

His favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys. He had a love for all sports and could hold a conversation about any and all leagues. No mater where he was or what he did he was faithful and committed to Antioch Baptist Church where he grew up until his passing.

Waiting for Walter in heaven with open arms is his father Walter Preciphs; mother, Olivia Roberson; Ernestine Washington, and Aunt Cora L. Johnson; favorite cousin, Darell Garnett.

Left to cherish his memories are his brothers, George Edward Fobbs, John Ernest Fobbs; aunt, Georgia M. Tatom (Michael Tatom); 1st cousin, Wanda Garnett; 2nd cousin, John L. McDaniel; Michael George Tatom (Britney), Martin Garrett Tatom (Alease); his little cousins, Sabestine, Christian, and Michael George II Tatom; a host of church friends.
