Shirley Vaughn, 75, of Wichita Falls, Texas went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. Shirley was born to the late Willie and Beatrice (Kirvin) Pride on January 9, 1948 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She attended Public School and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1966 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Following high school, she attended Lincoln University in Lincoln, NE, Midwestern State University, and Vernon Jr. College. She retired from factory work and nursing.
She was a very talented person who cared and helped others. She was a member of Christ Tabernacle AOH Church of God where she was active in Mission and Bible Study. She was a servant of God and did his work.
She married Sammie Vaughn on July 10, 2010.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie Pride and Beatrice Williams; husband, Sammie Vaughn; daughter Khalilah Clarrett (from her first marriage); Aunt Cora Bell Sanders; sister Albertine Griffin; and brother, Jimmy Pride.
She is survived by daughter, Tikisha Clarrett; grandson, Isaac Merkel; two sisters, Pauline Ellington (James) of Bellflower, California; Lena Waldon-Arps (Terry) of Wichita Falls, Texas; brother, Peter L. Williams; four nieces; four nephews; six great nieces; four great nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends

Many years have come n gone but I've never forgotten our work at Sprague Electric n our children spending time together. May God comfort your family during this hour of bereavement. He is the lifter of our heads. RIP Shirley, Raynetta n Thomas Williams, Damon n Jennifer Sayles family, Mahogany n Julius Sneed family.
