Robert James Felder, My Father, Lifelong Salesman, Gideon and fisherman, Robert “Bob” Felder’s love of life didn’t come to an end with his death. Robert Felder was born August 28, 1949 in Chicago, IL. Bob passed on to heaven on June 4th, 2024 in Wichita Falls, Texas, at the tender age of 74 after a courageous battle with cancer, he was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by continuing to spread his infectious laughter and silly sense of humor dad jokes. His battle with serious medical issues in the recent year showed his courage in facing life challenges with a consummate smile on his face, unwavering always. Despite the pain, Bob always had a kind word, smile and a hearty laugh that would light up the room, and cared about spreading that joy to everyone he came in contact with. He stayed strong until the end.

As a father my dad told me 100’s of times , “To leave people better than the condition you found them in.” He succeeded in teaching me and many others that lesson, but more importantly he lived it.

Bob met the love of his life, Julie, while selling Bible books for Southwestern while they were both in college. He fit 4 years of college into 9 years. It was love at first sight, and she supported him in every step of the way for the last 50 years. Together, they had three children. He is survived by his wife, Julie Felder and children: Anna (Jason) Neumann, Katrina Felder and Jonathan (Paulina) Felder, and two grandchildren, Emma and Evan Neumann. He is also survived by his siblings: Kathi Lillibridge Stewart, Don Felder, Nancy (Daron) Howard and nieces: Breck Howard, Darby Henry, and Margaret Felder.
