He was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on October 23, 1959 to Martha and Anslun Hutchinson, Sr. Ray attended Wichita Falls Public Schools. He was employed by First Baptist Church of Wichita Falls for thirty-eight years before his passing.

He was a loyal and dedicated employee during his employment. His job meant a lot to him. He went above and beyond. He was well loved by his peers as well as he loved them. He touched so many lives and will be greatly missed. Besides his work, Ray loved being with family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes and barbquing. He was known for his famous ribs and being the jokester that kept you laughing in stiches. He was so much fun to be around and his big smile that would light up and cheer up anyone having a bad day.

He leaves to mourn his demise, sister, Aldena Hutchinson of Seattle, Washington; Jerry Hutchinson of Wichita Falls, TX, Willie Hutchinson of Shawnee Oklahoma; four bonus children, La’Shunda, La’Toya, Rickey and Chris of Wichita Falls, Texas; bonus grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and First Baptist Church Family.

Ray, I miss you but know that you are so much better off. I only found out about your passing a week ago. Glad that you are healed now and enjoy being with your Mom, Dad, Jr., and all the others. We will be together again sometime in the future. Be Happy.

I have lots of memories of Ray, we worked together at First Baptist Church for 3 years and every day was fun. He could set up tables at the drop of a pin, where it would take other people hours. I loved his smile, his sweetness and his giving of being a friend. Rest Ray, and let someone else do the work. You deserve the rest. Love being with you.

There are no words to explain this feeling. I will never forget all the wonderful memories. The Saturday breakfast and garage sale routine that you, nanny, and I had. The BBQ and cook tips that you gave me whenever I needed them. I know you are at peace with nanny and all your family but you will never be forgotten Papa! I love you Papa always and forever!

Uncle you really hurt me with this one. πŸ’” I never imagined that I would be doing this with you so soon. I will forever cherish our bond, the memories I will good dear to my heart, as it will not be the same when I come home. I always made sure I came to see you and Aunt Judy and what a ball we had. I love you Uncle Ray, to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord, your spirit will dwell with me forever, for this is not goodbye, but I will see you later!!!!!
