Martha Raye Booker, was born on June 7, 1940 in Detroit, Texas to the parent of Jessie Lee Davis. She departed this life on January 5, 2025. Martha accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at an early age. She graduated from Topeka High School in Topeka, Kansas.
She married the love of her life, Roland H. Booker on June 8, 1958. They celebrated 60 years of love faith, and laughter, To this union two sons were born, Michael Booker and Mark Booker, Sr.
Martha was a faithful member of St. John Baptist Church for many years serving in ministry through the Ruth Circle and Mission Choir when her health permitted.
Martha loved to shop, travel and being with family especially at family reunions. Her favorite past time was spending time with the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
Martha faithfully served as a military wife and accompanied her husband to Sheppard Air Force Base, Wichita Falls Texas, Hamilton Air Force Base, San Francisco, California; McCoy Air Force Base, Orlando, Florida, and Lackland Air Force Base, San, Antonio Texas. Roland retired in 1976, making their home in Wichita Falls, Texas.
She worked for First Wichita National Bank (Big Blue), until her employment with the Wichita Falls Independent School District, Fain Elementary and Hirschi High School. After leaving Hirschi High School, she worked at the administration building in the Student Support Department until her retirement in May 2003.
She is preceded in death by husband, Roland H. Booker; mother, Jesse Lee Davis; brothers, Leon and Lewis.
She leaves to cherish her memories and legacy, sons Michael Booker of Wichita Falls, Texas and Rev. Mark A. Booker Sr. (Debra) of Rowlett Texas; sister, Shirley Autry of Detroit Texas; grandchildren, Dr. Mark Booker, Jr. of Plano, Texas, Angelique Booker of Forney, Texas, and Matthew Booker of Garland, Texas; great grandchildren, Trinity and Ava Booker, Nevaeh Roberts of Forney, Texas and a host of other relatives, family and friends.

Both your Father and Mother were exceptional and wonderful people. They raised two outstanding young Men.
