Lloyd Edward Bogan was born December 8, 1943 in Wichita Falls, Texas to the parents of Nathaniel and Lois Bogan. He departed this life on December 29, 2020.

He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Lloyd received his education at Booker T. Washington High School. Following high school he enlisted in the United States Air Force.

He moved to Dallas, Texas following his military career where he worked for LTV Corporation as an aircraft mechanic.

Lloyd was married to his beautiful wife, Jessie for twenty four years. She always called him “Lloyd Edward.” He loved his family and was always willing to give of himself. Lloyd was known for his famous barbecue.

Lloyd is preceded in death by his father, Nathaniel and mother, Lois Bogan.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Jessie; a wealth of family and friends to carry on his legacy of love, giving and humility.

    Nathaniel Bogan

    As I look back on the life of Lloyd Bogan (My father) He was blessed to live for 77 years, as I was blessed to have him in my life for 50 years. Although my mother and he divorced I never doubted that my dad loved me, my wife and his grandkids. They loved to call granddaddy on their computer and share video calls with him. One of my dad's quotes that defined who he was is when would ask him how is he doing and he would reply, "it could be a whole lot better and a whole lot worse". He would take life as it came and handle what ever the situation was to the best of his ability. My dad loved his family especially his wife Jessie and his sisters Barbara, Carol, Gloria and Faye. They were all the apple of his eye and he would always speak highly of them. Though my dad is gone he will never be forgotten. We love him and know that he is in a better place. Death is not the end but the transition into the next life. So there is great joy in knowing my dad has moved on and that we will see him again. We will miss him here, but he is always in our hearts.
