Jimmy Lee Watson was born in Wichita Falls, TX to Bessie Jobe and Randall Watson on December 12, 1941. He attended Washington Elementary before moving to Portland before graduating from Jefferson High School. He later attended Portland Community College. He majored in Public Speaking. He later completed his training as a Certified Truck Driver with CDL credentials. He was a trainer for drivers and chaplain for many locations as he traveled across the United States.

He was an amateur boxer in the 1960’s and 70’s. He touched many lives with his warm smile and jubilant personality. He was a dedicated Trucker.

Jimmy accepted Christ at an early age. After relocating back to Wichita Falls, he served as an Associate Minister for Eastside Baptist Church and Shiloh Baptist Church.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. He was a kind, loving and happy husband.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Randal and Bessie Watson; brother, Randal Watson, Jr.; special mother, Helen Watson and brother in law, L. W. Washington, Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife, Alice Washington Watson for forty-three years; children, Tarann Watson, Ann Wesley, Billy Watson and Shunda Harris (Chris Williams); grandchildren, Tyisha Hester, D.J. Dawsey, Eric Harris, Dereck Harris, Shermara Luckey, Destiny, Mary and Billy Watson; ten great grandchildren; two bonus sister, Sophia Adair and Dinah Washington; bonus friend, Jackie Polk; a host of other relatives and friends.
