Erica Stafford Rankin was born to Cherrie S. Bolts and Lank Stafford Jr in Seymour, TX on May 27, 1986. She attended and graduated from Olney High School.

On February 19, 2025 she left her beloved family to be with her lord. She joins her grandparents Lank Stafford Sr., Addie Stafford and Betty Jean McMullin in Heaven.

Erica attended Vernon Regional Jr. College where she became a licensed LVN. Her proudest accomplishment pushed and cheered for by her beloved husband, Ricky Rankin. Erica and Ricky joined their life together on March 14, 2020. Erica said in her vows “our family is now whole”.

Erica enjoyed her life to the fullest, she was full of love and cared for everyone. She enjoyed reading the Bible, watching movies, and being with her family.

Preceding her in death are grandparents Lank Stafford, Sr. and Addie Stafford; grandmother, Betty Jean McMullin; great-grandparents, J. P. Pierson, Sr and Annie Mae Pierson;

Erica leaves to cherish her memories, husband, Ricky; three amazing children, Jamarcus Gaines, Jerrika Gaines and Kelcee Rankin; father, Lank Stafford, Jr.; mother, Cherrie S. Bolts; step children Katoyia K Rankin, Ricky Rankin Jr, Patrice A Lipinski (Paul) and Jeremy A Rankin (Kim); four brothers, Anthony Stafford and Jessie Stafford of Abilene, TX; Gregory Murray of Lubbock, TX, Zachary Hardamon of Seymour, TX; sister, Deshelia Toliver of Munday, TX; three amazing nephews and nieces with her brothers and sisters in laws, Elaine Beverly Rankin, Bruce Rankin (Valarie) Lance Rankin (Sandra) Sabrina Coleman (Van) George Rankin (Marcia) late Vickie Jones (Ben), late Artist Rankin (Debbie) and late Patrick Rankin.

Many family and friends will miss Erica amazing laughter and gentle personality.

I had the privilege and honor of attending the LVN program at Vernon College in Wichita Falls,Texas with Erica .There was not one day that I was not greeted with a smile from Erica. What a sweet and precious woman she was, bringing joy to my life each day I spent with her in class! I will always remember the way she made me laugh when God knew that I needed to laugh on one particular day.She was very sensitive , kind, and compassionate. What a blessing she was!
