Donald Gene Turner was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on November 7, 1952 to the parents of Jim Austin and Addie Mae Turner. He attended Booker T. Washington High School.

He joined the military and later worked construction until his accident that left him disabled.

He departed this life on September, 22, 2024.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Jim Austin Turner and Addie Mae Turner; siblings, Jim Austin, Jr, Mary Jo Williams, Gladys Henderson, Charles Walker, Calton Ray Walker and Jimmie Mae Fuller.

Those left to cherish his memories are his beloved daughter, Angela Carroll; sisters, Shirley Gipson, Dorothy Turner and Diane Turner of Fort Worth, Texas, Mary L. Walker of California, auntie, Bobbie Jo Lemons of Fort Worth, Texas; a special niece, Debra Ann Turner; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
