She accepted Christ in her teen years and was Baptized at First Riverside Missionary Baptist Church, the family church.

After high school, she enrolled in Drown Business College for special training in business administration. There she met a young man named David Pearson, whom she later married, but later divorced. She never had children of her own, but helped to raise her nieces and nephews.

She spent most of her working career in the fast-food industry and factory type work, even though she was interested in becoming a pharmacy tech and made several attempts to get certified.

She worked with her dad on many occasions in the family businesses; Dirt-Busters Auto Detail & Changing Images Today. She was a major part of the family’s ABOK Club started by her nieces & nephews and She was a follower of her dad’s outreach ministry; Jesus Today The Helpers of God, until the very end.
To her family and friends, she was Cassie, Aunt Cassie and Shortie. She was much loved by all and had a very people-friendly personality. Through the years, she had struggled with some health issues, but always managed to overcome.

In 2011, her mom, dad, and younger sister Erica moved back to Wichita Falls, TX after her grandparents on her dad’s side had passed to take over their residency and keep the family legacy going. Her younger sister Erica, who was stricken with MS, stayed very ill, and eventually she moved to Wichita Falls, to help take care of her and she did until her sister passed August 7th, 2020. This was a devastating blow to the entire family, friends, relatives, and community, because she was so loved by all.

After the death of her sister Erica, she began to have more serious problems herself, staying in and out of the hospital and developed a lung condition from pneumonia which eventually took her life.

She is survived by her parents James W. Harris and Joyce A. Harris of Wichita Falls, Texas, her brother Cedric M. Harris of Mansfield, Texas, and her sister Monica T. Harris of Fort Worth, Texas. She leaves a host of nieces and nephews, and an unlimited number of relatives and friends.
