Betty Jean Nacoste was a caring mother, sister, wife and friend. She passed away surrounded by loved ones on February 20, 2023, at the age of 76, at William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital in Dallas, TX.

She was born to Benjamin Harper and Lillie Mae Alexander on July 12, 1946, in Crawfordsville, Georgia. She graduated in 1964 from Booker T. Washington High School in Wichita Fall, TX.

In 1976, Betty was united in marriage to Johnny Nacoste. She had two children Kevin and Tiffany. She traveled extensively with Johnny as he was active duty stationed at many military installations. While their union didn’t last they remained close until her passing.

Betty was a devout Christian and was a member of the New Harvest Church for almost 15 years.

All together Betty was a resident of Wichita Falls for over 60 years and was a retired employee of Wichita Falls State Hospital. After retirement she continued to stay busy working part-time at the MPEC. Throughout her life she enjoyed many hobbies including ceramics, macrame and bingo. She loved spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking for her family and friends.

Betty Jean Nacoste is preceded in death by father, Benjamin Harper; mother, Lillie Mae Alexander and sister, Allie Mae Jackson.

Survivors include son, Kevin Nacoste of Wichita Falls, TX; daughter, Tiffany Nacoste of Dallas, TX, and former husband, Johnny Nacoste of Louisiana; countless cousins and friends. God has Betty in his keepings and we have her in our hearts.
