Anthony Eugene “Tony” Kitchen Sr. passed away on July 9, 2024. He was born on April 29, 1949 to Hillie Kitchen Jr and Rosa Kee in Tampa, FL. He joined the Air Force in 1969. After joining, his first assignment was at McGuire Air Force Base. In 1970 he met the love of his life, Michaelle Moye, in New York on Halloween. They became engaged on December 1970 and married June 19,1971. They recently celebrated 53 years of life together. To this union two children were born, Renee and Tony Jr. His oldest daughter, Zaniya, lives in Atlanta, GA.

Tony’s other tours included Bentwaters AFB in England (1971-1976), Craig AFB in Selma, AL, (1976-1977) and later to Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, TX. He served as the scheduler for the NATO Pilots until his retirement in 1991. He then landed at the City of Wichita Falls as the Fleet Maintenance Coordinator until retirement in 2005.

Tony’s past times were playing softball and basketball but his favorite sport was fishing and hunting. His fishing and hunting partners were Don Gossett (Rhonda), Garfield Wilson, Jeff Justice and many Wichita Falls Police Officers. His favorite NFL football team was the Dallas Cowboys. His football friends were the Phantoms Members and Larry Shaw. His party friends were the MOB Members (Members of Distinction). You will find Dallas Cowboy memorabilia throughout his home, in the front yard and decorated in his truck. Of course you didn’t see him in the community without wearing a Dallas Cowboy shirt.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dr. Michaelle Kitchen; children, Renee Limb (Tommy), Tony Kitchen Jr and Zaniya; grandchildren, Brianna Kitchen and Malcom Baker; brother; sisters; other relatives, coworkers and friends.

Met TK through my Dad and they met at the base. We played softball together and against each other but always made our way to the parking lot for post game at the van. One of a kind guy and always made me laugh out load. Tell my Dad Hi Tony and I'll meet you at the van one day! God bless you and your family TK! RIP, Smokey Burgess
